43rd edition of the Barcelona marathon, one of the city’s most iconic races.

Being able to be on the starting line for this event to cover it and make the official after-movie, is a huge professional and personal challenge. Not just on a technical level, but also on an emotional level: being able to reflect on everything an event like this involves in just one video is no easy task. And being able to reflect the vivid feelings of the thousands of runners that took part that day is even more challenging.

Live, following the blue line that marks the route through the city, we were counting on Horacio Cabilla and Victor Julián. Thanks to the preparation and coordination they have as a team, they were able to cover the more than 42 km of the Barcelona marathon.

After a long creative process, we decided that an event like this should have an edit that would honor the race’s history. Thanks to Bep, we were able to access a large number of archive images from the last 30 years of the marathon. Thanks to this, we were able to work on the edit we had in our minds: a final video that reflected the today and yesterday of one of the world’s most important races.
